Capitalism, buying things
With her eyes, and her abitilies, she reminds me of a Betazoid from Star Trek. :3

So..it's like.. £16 per series, as compared to buying the DVDs at £33 each.
But, you know, it does have Life, and the one I've been meaning to get, Space. She has a bigger role in the space one.

Yeah, I've been on a bit of a kick trying to find old cartoons I used ot watch. One of which is called "Il Etait Une Fois La Vie", or "Once Upon a Time Life." It had a pretty dark-skinned woman in it who I fell in love with, and still is!
Anyway, on a site, I found a large collection of every series in that collection for over £100. Seems like a lot, but you do get 7 series, including the newer "Planet Earth" series. The first 6 are English, but the last one is French
Needless to say, it was worth it, as I found a few things that I thought I've lost. So..yeah. :P
I blame @Mycroft for linking me to the site! :P

However, we may not need to go with re-inventing the wheel. I am of the philospthy of making do with what you have. For really short range networks, ethernet can work, but for longer range, wireless is needed.
Trouble is, it's imited in distance. A really basic mesh network could be made with a few routers, and maybe a few repeaters. Basic? Yeah, but anyone can do it, things are easily avalible, and it could be set up within an hour or so.

It has been often said that "Knowledge is power". I've been informed that that Net Neutrality in the US is now under critical threat. It's unfortunate, but some new data has come to light.
A legal officer by the name of Eric Schniderman has gone on record to sue the FCC for illegal means. Not that they, or the President would care, but, we do have at least two main plans.
However, if those fail, then a plan B could very well be needed.
Did you know you don't have to upload GIFs to Mastodon? You can upload mp4 and webm directly instead. If they don't have an audio track they are treated as pseudo-GIFs.
Since Snapchat has both an export to camera roll function and a remove audio track function, you can upload your Snapchat recordings to Mastodon
