@kyzh It is possibly my single top game ever in terms of interesting narrative.

@Aradia@mastodon.social ahhhhh it'll take me a while to listen to all these!

@boots The percussion is holding up its weight better than pretty much everything I can think of from this era.

"Build That Wall", from Bastion (2011), composed by Darren Korb

This song is diagetic which I think is pretty awesome, and actually serves as a key point of characterization and worldbuilding.

@kyzh I was just about to share one of my favs from Bastion.

Some of my favs:
"Summer Scouts" from We Know the Devil (2016), composed by Alec Lambert.

The minimal composition and noisy/low-fi use of synths fits the game perfectly.

Okay y'all. Hit me up with your favorite videogame music.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Cleric, but one of the ones with a really idiosyncratic belief system.

suicidal thoughts (I'm safe, feel very free to skip this)

Last day or two have been a lot of the "I don't exactly want to die, but if an airplane were to fall on the house or whatever it sure would save a lot of trouble" kinds of thoughts.

I should probably find some better distractions.

Today I learned that the full gas tanks of an airbus A380 contain chemical energy of >2.4 kilotons TNT equivalent. Just a bit over three gigawatt-hours.

That's a ridiculous amount of energy.

Book recommendation: "Difficult Conversations", by Stone, Patton, and Heen.

It's about how to have difficult conversations.

The voice feels a little weird to me but it focuses on frameworks and advice that are good and highly actionable.

During the Doom 2016 speedrun on SGDQ last night:

"So most of you probably know what this next weapon is...

That's right, it's the Big Hecking Gun."

@masklayer Never mind, looks like it was a weird connectivity issue!

nsfw 🔞 🐑

@masklayer that hotlink isn't working for me.
