Also The Day After Tomorrow is on and I don't even care, I watch that and 2012 every time I see them on the TV schedule.

My poor kitty learned about rain today. Fortunately he found shelter and his mama came out with an umbrella and rescued him.

My phone decided to just randomly brick for a few hours and I went to so many sketchy web sites and downloaded so many sketchy files while trying to fix it I'm just gonna straight-up reinstall Windows on my laptop.

Related to the move, though: I'm kind of into the idea of setting up a chicken coop and raising some chickens. I rattled off potential livestock-ish projects to my mother and she seemed genuinely encouraging. I was like, "A goat? :o" and she was like, "You'd just have to be careful about the local predators."

As I've been packing up to move, I've been forced to take on a lot of cleaning projects around my apartment that seemed insurmountable for years. And... they were surmountable. And I've worked to assure myself that it wasn't laziness or weakness that made me avoid them for so long, it was depression. I'm doing it now, and that's strength.

I picked up Shadow of Mordor on the Steam Summer Sale because it was $4 and it's totally the LotR fanfic I would write if I knew no one was watching.

Took my poor kitty to the vet because the stress of the move has given him an upset bladder. Got some pain medication, a light tranquilizer/antispasmodic, and a calming collar. He is always such a good boy at the vet, I do not deserve such a good cat :<

I can tell what kind of pagan I am, for the Winter Solstice I had a whole big observation but for the summer one I'm just "Eh. It's raid night."

I mean, I could use it to play around with Linux, but again, to what end? I suppose my dad's really big on fabricating stuff, he could make a neat case for it all...

I've managed to pick out enough working parts as I've cleaned out my computer parts closet (well, I THINK the CPU works) to build a low-powered PC, but, like...what would I even use it for? There was a time I'd have used it to stream things to the TV but I have a Chromecast for that.

So I'm in the middle of moving from a nice Midwest city to my parents' house in the mountains, because the world hates women who want to live on their own and my folks are getting on in years and bought way more house than they should have. And I have had *an exceptionally bad year* and need to recoup.

And I suppose I mention this -- a bit of #introduction? -- just to give context to my ongoing narrative here. It's something I'll be talking about.
