I've put the Fixl project under August's supervision. He's another of the Lamppost Island gryphons, like Vidrio, and he's one of Ringoid's earliest employees. He knows what needs to get done and has a good project-manager's instincts for knowing who to ask to do what part of something and what to expect in the end. He has a tendency to slip extra features in nobody asked for, but I mostly trust his judgement here. Mostly. I'll have to rein in his scope-creep habit a little.

im seeing a lot of pushback these days against how many game franchises are becoming open world these days and it makes me a little sad because i love open world games. im living right now. i love self-direction and exploring and finding things and making my own path and uncovering mysteries. i want more of that, and i wanna make games that are like that, and it makes me a little scared that people are gonna balk at them

I think the only thing I wanna put out there for newbies landing on fedi is not only do you not have to censor words to evade bots, algorithms and searcher arguments; doing so actively harms the ability of people who want to set up mutes OR enhanced notifications to do so on that content.

Yeah some people might have muted the word 'commission' because they don't want to be exposed to opening ads for whatever reason.

Please don't do that. You don't have to here. We're big on individual agency to see or not see what we wanna.
