it was a long and annoying process, and it's not quiiiite done yet, but i have windows 10 pro running and a couple games installed that i haven't actually tested yet oops
the last few bits and bobs are on the way and should arrive between this saturday and next saturday; im gonna dual boot with some flavor of linux and im gonna have a big storage drive and im gonna have a bunch of usb ports and stuff mounted in the drive bays and its gonna be great

There should be a way in CSP or Photoshop or fuckin' in your phone's camera roll to just ASSIGN alt text to a photo/picture so no matter where it's uploaded it will automatically populate the alt text.

@Hearth well yeah but like, if you're like me and want to do things like "generative art involving stuff like hanging power cables" and you know in the back of your head using a parabola would be *just ever so slightly wrong*, this is a thing you care about having a simple answer to. and its just hyperbolic cosine
today i learned the catenary (the shape of a hanging cable or chain) is just the hyperbolic cosine. what the hell. i thought it was one of those shapes you could only get accurately with a physics simulation or something but its just cosh
