chili:

i think if you have zero furries in your mentions that's a sign that you're doing something wrong

@Hearth is it possible to share files with Need For Speed and Super Mario Bros protocols at the same time

is it possible to set up an NAS to share files with NFS (to linuxen like a steam deck) and SMB (to windowses) at the same time

yall do not know how to tag your posts about the game that just came out huh

just ordered a bunch of stuff for setting up my NAS and wider file sharing network. should all arrive by next weekend. thanks all for your help

im probably gonna save my next project after this for another paycheck, but while i'm thinking about it: i want to get some basic soldering equipment and learn to solder (for tinkering with little arduino type gizmos and the like). does anyone have recommendations for what i could get that's cheap and ideally doesn't take up a lot of space

im gonna do this - small SSD to boot off of and large HDDs for the actual file storage

now then. does anyone have advice about shopping for HDDs

I forgot to post this one here. This is an Epson RX 80 FT dot matrix printer for the 1983 WarGames diorama. As far as I could tell that's what David had in his room. There is two models with slightly different covers tho, hard to tell in the movie which one it is.

maybe a smaller SSD for booting and a bunch of big HDDs i can RAID together (RAID 10 perhaps?) would be the best fit for this project. hrm
