Sona References

💛​ Blue (She/Puppy/They) is a bubbly, excitable golden retriever! She’s my main sona and lets me express who I feel I really am :3 She’s the baby of the group, an optimist who wants the best for everyone.

🩵 Lapis (He/They) is my old sona who I still defiantly vibe with. He’s a fox covered in different shades of blues and stars. They are like the older sibling who keeps a level head in stressful situations.

i did a funny

nintendo told steam to remove dolphin from their store, allegedly due to it's hardcoded inclusion of the wii common key

so here's a flag that represents the wii's common key, in hexadecimal form :)

nintendo's really having a blast telling everyone to pirate their games! so far in the past couple of months, nintendo has:

- shut down the eshop for wii u/3ds
- issued a DMCA to lockpickRCM, preventing switch owners from legally obtaining keys needed for emulation (and it caused a switch emulator to shut down due to fears they'd be DMCA'd too)
- sent a new 3DS update that blocked all free methods of homebrewing the console
- and just recently, they told steam to take down the dolphin emulator

One of the main issues with online games is that when hosting the game is no longer profitable for the developers the game tends to become completely unplayable. A huge loss for preservation.

Old games tended to allow users to host their own servers, so don't have that issue as much. Modern games, not so much.

Some games get lucky enough to find a community with the skills to reverse engineer, others don't.
