you have to recreate a shape on the board using parts that change the board whenever you put them down. there's a lot of discovery because it doesn't actually tell you what the pieces do, you have to discover it yourself, and every once in a while you realize that a piece does something silghtly different than you thought and have to change your whole mental model. good times
