anxiety about wasting time on passion project 

im in the early process of designing a game console built on top of a custom cpu architecture. its kind of inseparable from the custom cpu because this whole thing is an excuse for me to design a processor, because i have weird interests

i worry that im wasting my time on this - unlike other modern retro computer projects like the Commander X16, which are based on well known and commonly available cpus like the 6502 or z80, i worry my thing is too niche to ever get anyone else interested in making anything for it
