i've doubtless told this story before, but - i once was on a mu*-adjacent little online game with a relatively simple implementation of containers. basically, containers like chests-of-drawers and such are implemented in the same way as rooms, AND the same way as player inventories
which means that with some creative use of portal objects, you can enter your own inventory
i don't think that game is still running but i want to make a game with that same mechanic but on purpose
Came up with a faster sorting scheme with much better perf! This is 1200 tris at about 50fps. I'm sorting groups of triangles instead of each one, which reduces sorting overhead significantly. #playdate
