It’s a small CLI toy, a #Zig implementation of the Wolfram Elementary Cellular Automaton.

I got inspired to make it by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ggxt06qSAe4, as well as my own desire to learn Zig, almost a decade after learning C before changing career paths and becoming a systems administrator.

It has various customization features, by default it’s going to detect the terminal size, but you can also set it manually if you want, or if you’re using an unsupported platform for automatic detection, or redirecting the output into a file.

Ik it’s nothing special, but I haven’t developed anything in a long time, and it’s very rare for me to complete a project, and I learned a lot in the process, so I’m kinda proud of it.

elevator pitch: #fedigardens - an activitypub server that affords its members the ability to post various types of objects and arrange them to create their profile, which is ever changing as they add and arrange things. each member decides whether or not each thing should allow for various possible interactions (reaction, boost/feature on profile, reply, etc) when posting it, and when deciding to change what they want to allow for that thing. following a member allows one to receive notifications of new additions or re-organizations of posted objects and the profile page in general. member experience after logging in allows them to interact with their profile, adding, changing, rearranging things, and also to browse other profiles to see what other members have changed.
