Friendly reminder to occasionally scrape all the lint out of your USB C ports with a toothpick.
I don't know what it is about the shape of USB C ports but those things collect and compact lint and dust like no other port before them. No less than 4 times, someone complained to me that the charging port on their phone is busted or spotty, and it turned out to be lint preventing cables from going all the way in.
