if anyone's curious, this is still pissing me off. destiny 2 itself refuses to give me more info on what's actually going wrong (seriously? not even a log file? this is the easiest shit in the world, guys), and even reinstalling it (the whole game took like eight fucking hours to download again) didn't work, so i'm basically just gonna have to do ritual guesswork around my router tomorrow to see if anything i can do fixes it
