tonight in Things That Are Kind of Obvious Why Didn't I Realize This Sooner:

i think language is one of the main reasons i wanna go back to the us but don't really wanna go back to europe

cause like, i do/did speak/understand the language at almost every country i lived in/visited in europe, but i wasn't anywhere close to native speaker level in most of them

and yet english, and specifically american english, became, due to a scarcely believable chain of events during childhood, sort of a co-native language of mine

this reads a bit like a "stop doing math" meme to me but i think i do really feel this way

i think i officially dislike the term "overthinking" now

there is no proper amount of thinking to be had

if things don't make sense to me it's ok for me to think about them a lot and explore many different angles

i have a very heavy sign language accent when i speak

i actually had this joke idea to speak hebrew with a really exaggerated american accent when i got back from my us trip and insist obliviously for comedic effect that i sound the same as i ever did but,,,, uh,,, seems like that didn't happen 🙃

when i finally get out of this im gonma speak french exclusively in a badly imitated quebec accent do not @ me

language is awesome but the allistics had to ruin it with adversarial mind games

like i've still been semi actively improving my french listening skills during this time lmao

its so cool that even though i cant speak, i can still do language! i can still read and write and listen and sign and... uh,, the signing equivalent of listening -- so many different types of language!!!
