my decision in late 2021 to use python for this project isn't even the worst part of it because it uses 2-3 different types of israeli public transit data which is always shit data in shit formats with shit errors

i want to never have to use python again in my life, which is a nice thought when i'm working on a project with ~2000 lines of python
maintaining a unix environment over months is too difficult and every once in a while everything breaks horribly and i can never get out of the mess
so instead of painstakingly propping the trainwreck up on toothpicks with glitter glue whenever it crashes -- how about it's all in a vm and i just scrap it and install a fresh copy
my ideal coding os is a linux distro that just boots straight into virtualbox

(except right now we're seeing the... fourth election in three years, i think? so there's barely any signs, except for posters in public spaces; guess we got sick of it by now)
but having lots of signs per lawn sounds like an american thing because you vote for like 500 things on the same ballot, whereas here you just vote for one party and that's it

so i'm looking through an israeli sign dictionary, and the entry for "embryo" needs to be disambiguated from the word "passing" due to hebrew spelling quirks (the hebrew words are /ubar/ vs /over/, respectively, both spelled עובר)
so to disambiguate, they didn't enter it as "עובר (unborn baby)" or whatever -- instead they chose "עובר (fruit of the stomach)"
