Well. Sessions was just fired. So the Mueller investigation is essentially dead. Mueller isn't likely to last the week. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone by the end of the day.
So much for any scrap of hope we might've had there.

@Doephin We're in the lame duck period, so it'll be two months before rehiring can happen.
But you're right. Whittaker can just make the entire investigation inert and useless without needing to kill it.
They'll get away with it pretty easily, too.

@Phorm Less than you expect I think. Everything they do to fuck with this just makes it worse (if Trump hadn't fired Comey they probably could have buried it).
More importantly with the House in Dem control the investigation can continue. We need Mueller less now.
