Minor Injury, TMI, I'm a dummy (-)
So while grabbing my ironing board today, apparently the runners on the bottom are very sharp. And I sliced my pinky finger but good.
Good enough that it left a bit of a flap. Ugh, it hurt pretty bad, too.
I've been keeping pressure and bandages on it, and I'm not bleeding through the bandages. I hope that means it's okay and will heal on it's own. It's very small, probably about 1 cm in length.
The last place I want to try to visit right now is the ER, and I'm thinking I don't need to. I hope.
I think.

@Phorm The voice of"can't see the wound but concerned" would like to point out that of the wound goes bad you'll be at the hospital longer.
Seriously if that flap you're talking about is anything other than a small bit of loose skin ER is probably a good idea. Maybe call a nurse line and ask them?

It's stopped bleeding, I think, and honestly I'm not entirely sure how big it is because I'm sort of afraid to look. But maybe it is worth a call to the nurse.

@Phorm You posted that 30 minutes ago. I would call the nurse regardless, and if it's still bleeding when you take pressure of 100% call them and go if you can't get ahold of anyone.
If nothing else you may need a tetanus booster.

@Phorm I am glad you're ok. it's hard to interpret how bad "flap" actually was >.>

@Doephin
I'll confess it was hard for me to even know myself. I didn't really have the stomach to look at it much, but I saw it separate when I initially washed the wound, and I knew it got in there deeper than I would have liked. I did take the bandage off and take pcitures, though. Those helped to get a better sense of it.
I very well could still develop a problem in time. Feels like my whole hand is going cold. But that's probably just the paranoia talking, as it is, actually, just freaking cold out.
Honestly, thank you for your advice and for being concerned, too. I wouldn't have called the nurse otherwise. I genuinely appreciate it.
