I decided to forego decongestants for an antihistamine instead to see if it could be allergies but
I woke up having a hard time breathing and I think I was lowkey choking mucus or some other fluid. I took a decongestant to try and settle down and it seems to be helping.
Still if I was actually sleeping and not just napping I'd probably wake up coughing for 45 minutes straight again like when I took a cough suppressant.
I'm thankful as heck that my doctor has an opening today because I've been dealing with these symptoms alone for about a week (two and a half weeks with overall illness) which is incredibly rare for a typical cold
