Having made a stupid youtube shitpost that went semi-viral and which several people have accused of being "clickbait," I think that clickbait now means "a thing on YouTube I didn't like that I watched anyway."

I did basically nothing to promote my video "James Hoffmann grinds coffee for 10 hours" and it was incredibly low-effort. Half of the comments are "haha that's hilarious" and the other half are criticizing me for not doing it as well as they would have (and then calling it clickbait).

So, I mean, Internet.

The title has nothing clickbaity in it. I didn't even make a custom thumbnail. The video isn't monetized. I get no commercial gain out of people watching it. It's something I threw together in like half an hour as a joke.

I don't know why these shitty entitled comments get to me so much.

@fluffy Because reprimanding folks for openly being wrong rarely changes anything for the better and they get to keep acting like unparented children while we feel like we're being punished for having done nothing wrong?

At least, that's why I loathe mouthy Internet randos. One of many, many reasons.
