this is seriously distressing, in a way I really don't know how to describe
it's very definitely an accessability problem, I can say that much
@roguecnidarian yeah I already tried that and it didn't work. it just sped the animation up to ridiculous speeds, which isn't an improvement
on a side note, https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/202209/how-to-fix-new-feature-in-recent-update-lg-g5-phone I made a stackexchange post about it because this is very distressing and I want it to be back how it was
@Felthry Yeah, that sounds like a very disorienting change.
@roguecnidarian extremely and I want to know whose idea this was so I can yell at them
@Felthry It probably depends on the specific device in question, but this looks like it might help? https://www.solveyourtech.com/turn-off-animations-android-marshmallow-galaxy-on5/
(The only android I use is stuck on several year old software version and has a physical home button so I'm not familiar with the new stuff you're describing)
