@Felthry this is complicated... i think the key in this case is pretty much that: the people often trying to use these terms as self-ID are often not in a position to reclaim those words. There’s some segments of people I’d say maybe are positioned to reclaim them and it’s not “all trans people/all trans women” tbh.

@poss_bot the person in question is not (afawk) trans though, and they're using it to refer to a character

@Felthry (sorry, i misunderstood, bc I’ve definitely had conversations with other trans people about whether or not they’re okay for trans people to use and my take is mostly: no if you’re not intersex. If you’re cis then forget it)

@poss_bot yeah it's a little more of a gray area if it's a trans person using it to refer to themself but a definite no if it's a cis person using it to refer to someone else
