I am _so_ glad that Bloodstained is actually good. Igarashi knows what he's doing, it seems!
I suppose this is the difference between having a producer of the original (Bloodstained) and a programmer of the original (Mighty No. 9)
@yaodema Oh, hm. I had read that it was a programmer who started the mighty number nine project, didn't realize it was a character designer. And had no idea he was a producer on one of the later games (but also weren't megamans 7 and 8 kind of disliked?) But Iga was the producer for lots of the metroidvania-style castlevanias, right?
@Felthry Yeah. Both of them were producers on a ton of later games in the series. IGA on post-SotN pre-reboot games including Aria/Dawn of Sorrow, as well as scenario writer. inafking was often /executive/ producer later on, and I don't see credits for "on the ground" stuff at that point.
@yaodema Then yes, I got that kind of mixed up it seems.
@Felthry This is somewhat backwards. inafking was a character designer on early Mega Man, and became producer on MM8. iga worked as a programmer in his early days at Konami (educational soft, and PC Engine titles), and his first CV title was SotN, as programmer and scenario writer. He became a director and producer after that point.
