@Felthry Laser indeed works very well. Not cheap, though there are Groupon deals - be sure it's laser, not IPL. I went with six full body sessions for about £2k - not cheap, but easily one of the best expenditures I've ever made in my life.
There are now a few actual home lasers around, though they tend not to be rated for facial use, presumably out of safety concerns. They're around the £300 mark; maybe an option if someone could treat you, given you'd *need* to have eye protection blocking your vision for safe facial use, and trying to treat your back evenly would likely be a tiny bit tricky. =:)
re: dysphoria, -, ask for advice
@Felthry Intense Pulsed Light - more like a controlled flash, so the spectrum's much broader than a laser's. Winds up working, but not as effectively. Both rely on light skin and dark hairs - dark skin's much trickier, as the melanin's prone to absorbing the energy, and light hairs simply don't, unfortunately, with electrolysis being the only effective technique at present for such hairs.
Just the face would be much cheaper, though annoyingly, many clinics don't publish prices. It's worth asking about a discount for a 6 or 8 session treatment, which can be much lower than paying for each separately.
