possible transmisia maybe?, question

I remember reading once that the symphony of the night enemy called "frozen half" (which is just an ice witch, but has a unique, lower-pitched scream sound effect when killed, different from the other witch enemies) is meant to be a transgender stereotype of some kind but I can't remember what exactly, could someone explain (or tell me I'm mistaken if that's the case)?

possible transmisia maybe?, question

@Felthry found this on the Castlevania wikia if it helps? No citation tho

re: possible transmisia maybe?, question

@pexl a few people have said that the word "newhalf" is in japan on par with how "sh***le" is here in terms of offensiveness so uh. yeah

re: possible transmisia maybe?, question

@Felthry yeah, my understanding is that “hafu” is a derogatory term for someone who is mixed race; so “nyuhafu” is implying that being a trans woman is comparably sullying
