the fact that the game boy always advertised the fact that it had a "dot matrix" always seemed weird to us until we realized that prior to the game boy, the only handheld systems in existence either used shaped LCDs like the game and watch series, or used a dozen or so LEDs like that old football thing
@dodec I suspect that, other than the PC, the game boy advance might just be the single system that can play the most video games ever. You have the entire GB, GBC, and GBA libraries at your disposal.
@Felthry I used to misread that as "Don't matrix with stereo sound" and it confused the hell out of me until I eventually clicked that it was "dot"
@Felthry I hadn't considered that, but you're right. The Game Boy is a fascinating little platform, too. It ended up lasting long enough to have an enormous software library, doubly so if you include the GB Color.
