@Felthry Link's Awakening is 3D now, this list is incomplete (also, um... Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and ALBW???)
@pillowcat I count those as 2D zelda games, since they have the top-down gameplay style rather than the mobile-camera thing the others do
@Felthry completely arbitrary distinction and falls apart when applied to ALBW, but whatevs
@pillowcat Hmm, I guess it does, I forgot about the wall merging sections
Anyway I was going to list all of the zelda games and they didn't all fit (this instance has a limit of ten poll options) so I had to split them somehow, so I went with the full 3D ones and the not full 3D ones, since they have distinct play styles
@Felthry i guess, we just kinda get heated with this topic 'cause this is a common arbitrary distinction commonly used to devalue the games in the "2D" list as inferior, or not mainline Zelda games (that or, Console Zeldas vs. Handheld """spin-offs""")
even though there's a larger amount of better games on the 2D/Handheld list than the 3D/Console list
@pillowcat oh no I'm not calling them inferior in any way--i'm just saying they have a different style of gameplay, and that i can't fit all of them into a single poll
@pillowcat Again, limit of ten. I didn't know what to do with four swords or triforce heroes and so I just kinda left them out because I didn't think anyone would pick those anyway
@Felthry (though yeah, we suppose Four Swords and Triforce Heroes being nearly completely inaccessible to play probably hurts their popularity)
@Felthry you could've added the 3D games to the 3D list~ ; 3
Look, you just fell victim to one of the classic gaming blunders, okay? Perhaps the most famous of which is, "Never get involved in a console war in a game forum," but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never get into a game design argument against us when Zelda is on the line."
