Here's a question for the fediverse: What is your favorite glitch in a video game?
@Siphonay oh yeah, the door glitch is part of that isn't it? we should read up on exactly what you can do with it
@Felthry some of the top contenders for me are the backwards longjump glitch from Mario 64, or the castle-roof-death-trigger glitch from the same game
@Felthry "what is your favorite" questions are the hardest for me to answer ever.
Tentatively voting for all the ones which let the player build up unlimited velocity backwards. It's a neat mixture of "silly to have happen within a simulation of a fictional reality", "easily comprehensible how the programmers let that one through", and "can be used to create other glitches".
@Felthry all the havoc you can wreak with the Select Glitch in the Japanese versions of Pokémon Red, Green and Blue
