sometimes we just are reminded of how *good* the character design in Wild Arms 3 is

not just their appearance, but personality and development too

wild arms 3 early-game spoilers

like, okay, you have the protagonist who's a young woman seeking to learn what happened to her father, who disappeared a while ago

you have another party member who's a man in his mid-to-late-30s with a wife and kid, who wants to protect his family

you have one of the antagonists who initially appears to be the seductress type, but then attempts to seduce the aforementioned guy-with-a-family and when he rebuffs her without a second thought she instantly becomes the vindictive type (iwrc for the rest of the game, any time you fight her, she won't attack anyone other then him unless he's already dead)

...then you have Jet. Initially he seems to be the edgy-teenager type and.... well he pretty much is. he gets a little development later but yeah

I'm glad they decided not to make Jet the main character (he originally was going to be)

also can we just talk about how the main character is a modestly-dressed woman, with three male travel companions, and there's not a single inappropriate comment in sight
