@Dogwood I ended up getting the minecraft server running, but now I have a few issues with it and players can't connect; are you able to help with that too or should I ask around?
@Felthry I'd love to help! What specific issues are you noticing?
@Dogwood uh, I actually ended up using zerotier instead of ngrok since it looked a lot easier to use, is that a problem?
@Felthry I'm unfamiliar with Zerotier -- not a problem, just dunno much about it
Here's a reddit thread about exactly this issue though https://www.reddit.com/r/zerotier/comments/b65xwp/trying_to_play_minecraft_lan_using_zerotier/
@Dogwood fortunately (since the verdict there seems to be "nothing you can do"), it seems like the problem that post is about is not the one that we have here.
@Dogwood i'm pretty sure the issue is server-side, too, and the video you linked seems to only address client-side fixes, unfrotunately
@Dogwood for what it's worth, I *am* able to run a basic server with nothing but forge installed and connect to that just fine
which suggests to me it's something in one of the mods that's the problem. or possibly just the sheer number of mods
@Felthry I found this youtube video about timeout errors, dunno if it'll help your specific issue
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2P5Y9RBPV8
any log output in Ngrok that might be helpful?
