@Felthry The slowest fighting games I can think of that in any way benefited from their slowness is Bushido Blade 1 and 2 on the PlayStation. Those are slow, "realistic" swordfighting simulators where a single solid hit is a kill, so the slow speed adds a lot of interesting tension.
@Felthry my personal love for fighting games is actually why I like PVP in Dark Souls so much, though not so much in 1 because it's so terribly balanced! in 2 and 3 I love having duels all day, and actually get really excited when I get invaded, because it's like a surprise fighting game moment in the middle of my action RPG
