how exactly does this "hosting" thing work on twitch anyway

@Felthry if you're not streaming, you can choose to have someone else's stream appear on your channel, as a way to advertise them or, in some cases, allow for smaller chats around a big event

like when you're signing off you might host one of your friends who's streaming, or if you're a speedrunner going to a gdq you might host the gdq channel so that your smaller community can chat in your channel while watching it
