hey @SquirrelLilly was it you who were talking about not having a DS? Apparently Walmart currently has a sale on the 2DS XL for $100, which is a really good deal. It's the last run before they discontinue the whole 3DS series (though of course used ones will still be available)
@Felthry I was idly looking at them once and surprised they were still making then. I was wondering how long that was going to last.
@IceWolf It's kind of a shame. There were a ton of good games on DS hardware.
As an archival enthusiast, we hate to see things stop being made. Eventually the original DSs and 3DSs will all stop working....
@Felthry Yeah. And with it being /literally illegal/ to distribute the game files and possibly even to rip them if you own the actual game [yay DRM, I don't know if that applies]...
@IceWolf We've got an archive of every DS game at least. Maybe we should expand that to 3DS games too, stick those on an external drive...

@Felthry We do technically have a 2DS (but it's painful to play 'cause it's so tiny) and $100 is WAY more than I can afford except in extremely special circumstances -A
