are there any other games other than super mario 64 and sotn that have really bad cases of "they ran out of soundtrack budget"? we can't think of any.

@IceWolf the latter parts of the game all use the same few tracks, or recycled tracks fromearlier parts

@IceWolf in SM64 it's that slide music being used for all the slides, several bonus areas, tick-tock clock and rainbow ride; and in SotN it's final toccata being used for like half the inverted castle and one other track we can't remember the name of for the other half

@Felthry Maaaybe the original NieR, for /composition/ at least. It's got one particular song that has, like, five different versions.
But I don't think you could call it anything like "ran out of budget", because the entire thing is /flat-out gorgeous/. And the different versions of the same song have totally different feels to them.
@IceWolf ehh multiple versions of a track are a different thing, that's usually done for stylistic purposes rather than budget purposes
