we've never really looked into it before but now we're kinda curious, what good games were there on the game gear?

@Felthry Going to confirm Tails Adventure was good, it's quite different from most Sonic titles since it's set before Tails learned how to run quickly, and uses his gadgets a lot instead
I enjoyed Psychic World but it's definitely weird, it's a platformer run & gun style with different psi abilities you can swap or activate as you like
If you like RPGs and want something vaguely based off 1001 Nights stories, there's Defenders of Oasis
The Sonic & Tails games (Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble) were pretty good too.
Whenever a game was released for Game Gear and for Master System, if you can, play it on Master System. Game Gear ports were often done very cheaply and cut off the edges of the screen (this was particularly bad for Sonic 2 GG, where the first boss is off screen the entire fight)
