ok serious unlisted alternative: horseradish and cheddar. So good.
@Felthry Fried on my stove, still warm. Seasoning varies on a whim, but is generally acidic to cut the grease. Sometimes not, though. Sometimes, cheap cheddar gets melted on top.
My preference for sour cream and onion or cheese and sour cream is entirely based on mood, and I'm now disappointed I didn't add to the sour cream and onion votes because they are clearly lacking.
