I think it's just, like, the talking and the light and color and movement and everything... and possibly that we need to focus all our attention on the one thing or we miss stuff–

i kind of wonder what technology was lost that we never rediscovered
not that i think they had some ancient supertechnology, more just, what tools did they have that accomplish tasks we do today in very different ways
