why does every youtube video ever seem to have a few people hitting the thumbs-down button
even this completely innocuous video of someone explaining clearly and in detail how a deionization system works has twenty-five thumbs-downs

@IceWolf @Felthry It's not hard (for us, at least) to imagine a group that would likely hate just about anything.
ELI5 science video? Get dunked on by evangelicals for producing atheist propaganda, as well as overconfident know-it-alls who think you're patronizing their intellect.
Wholesome video of a cat snuggling with a dog? You'll likely hear from someone who thinks its "unnatrual" for dogs and cats to live together.
We could go on, but I think you get the idea.
@Felthry idk, I think the thumbs-down button was a mistake from the get go tho
@yaodema i don't really see any point in it either, yeah

@Felthry @Felthry i know when i used to make videos I and everyone i knew who also did videos thought there were like, dislike bots that existed? Cause those few dislikes usually came very very soon after a video was uploaded, but idk if that has any actual truth to it or if its just people who think its funny to add dislikes who also happen to be dedicated watchers? Cause the older ive gotten the more “dislike bots” seems like not a thing,
@Felthry Maybe some people just like going "you suck" for fun?
We don't get it either.
