aaaa. tech was here to fix internet stuffs and figured out why we're getting slow internet after three hours of troubleshooting but couldn't fix it
it turns out we've been paying for someone else's internet and someone else has been paying for ours
because someone fucked up somewhere and swapped some network hardware

@Felthry My wife had an incident once where someone else's car insurance payment went to her account, and she put *so much* mental labor into making sure everybody was credited rightly. She's still a little angry the car insurance made that so hard.

they said the plan is basically to just unplug it on their end and see who calls to complain
