@terrana yep! specifically, 50Ω ones. outside of extremely esoteric situations, they're all effectively interchangeable.

@Felthry we ended up looking up https://www.rfcafe.com/references/electrical/coax-chart.htm and staring at the numbers before making a decision without really knowing what the numbers meant
it sounded like RG-8X had the biggest O.D. but lower capacitance and attenuation at 400 MHz, so, 🤷🏽♀️? we assume there are other tradeoffs too but they weren't on the table
