just watched someone on youtube drop a chunk of white phosphorus into a test tube full of liquid oxygen and *that* was a frightening thing to witness, wow

this was after said person had
- had liquid ozone explode inside the tubing
- dropped styrofoam into a mixture of liquid oxygen and liquid *ozone* (nothing happened, which was even more terrifying)
- talked about how the glassware was cleaned with *boiling chromic acid* so that the liquid ozone wouldn't react with trace contaminants
- did all this stuff in a shed, not a proper chemistry lab or anything
