it's fascinating to listen to because your brain goes "this is english, i should know what this is". like i know a lot of those syllables and they all go together in ways i'm used to as an english speaker. but they're not words

in context though it's just nonsense

The pronounciation and sounds are so close to Spanish that your brain thinks you should understand what they're saying. But you don't, cause it's Greek. It's a surreal experience

@socks @monorail @packbat Closest thing we have in English might be Scots, but that has a lot of overlap with English (enough that there's disagreement as to whether it's a particularly distinct dialect or a different language entirely)
