@Felthry it's a black thunder chocolate gateau bar
it's apparently moist and rich
@derFisch ooh thank you! will probably eat that soon because that sounds good
isn't gateau just the french word for cake?

@derFisch @g honestly wouldn't be surprised though, i imagine canadian french and european french are similarly different to how uk and us english are
probably latin american and european spanish have a similar level of difference too... possibly more so though because of how readily latin american spanish has absorbed loanwords from Nahuatl and other native languages

@Felthry@awoo.space @derFisch@chitter.xyz @g@cybre.space one of the things I recall from my half a Spanish 101 class was the instructor who was either Spanish but spent several years in Mexico or vice-versa is that this is very much the case. I also recall catching a documentary about one of the international Spanish language networks saying they had to essentially develop their own dialect to avoid perilous differences even just within the Americas.
@Felthry yup! in sprite for it (and the anime) it's even sort of a dense brick instead of like, a slice of cake
@Felthry @derFisch it's cos it's in a building called the old chateau
