apparently darksiders is a game we should try sometime, we hear it's a zelda-like with pretty good dungeon design

The first game (Darksiders, where you play as War) does have a lot of Zelda feel to it's dungeons, but the combat mechanics are closer to DevilMayCry or Bayonetta... just not as complicated. You purchase and upgrade your weapon skills as the game progresses, opening up bigger finishers and stronger combos.
The 2nd game (where you play as Death) is a bit closer to PrinceOfPersia with all the terrain and climbing/jumping/wall running puzzles, but it is still a LOT of fun.
I have not played more than an hour of the 3rd game... I got distracted, and forgot to pick it back up... so I can't really give a good summation there, and I have yet to pick up the 4th one.
