The villains in Ys II are monumentally foolish
the game starts off, before you even get the intro with cool music, showing the big bad guy's second-in-command saying "We've lost all communication with Darm Tower (their main base on the mainland). What should we do about this Adol character?", to which the big bad replies "His bravery presents an interesting challenge. Let's see how far this hero can go."
