yeah like we can understand making maybe some of the rewards time limited but the thing as a whole should still be available.
@nautilee we also feel this way about the entirety of the original form of final fantasy xiv

...we've had this discussion before unfortunately and we're of a different mindset because that wasn't, like, a planned limited time thing, it was kind of snowballing result of unplanned stuff.
@nautilee I just hate that we missed it and can never see what it was
-F
I understand that but it is absolutely unfair to be that upset about it. -s1
@nautilee How does it make people's lives worse though? maybe i would understand that if i was able to actually experience the thing to know what it was like
-F
@nautilee i don't know there isn't uch point talking about it and it's just making both of us upset it seems
-F
thinking of the devs frankly, keeping it up to date would be hell. translating it over would be hell. figuring out how to translate story bits that were tied to game mechanics that literally no longer exist would be hell.
like uh. just. the lead dev, the guy everyone calls Yoshi, when asked about 1.0 coming back, laughed it off and just responded "nightmare" in a way that makes it clear that, uh, yeah. speaks for itself, frankly.
anyway you're right and apologies this should be dropped. *offers hugs*
@Felthry
the story content from the original took place in a completely differently designed system on completely differently designed world maps to the point that they'd basically have to re-create it all entirely from scratch to re-implement it, and honestly a lot of the appeal from that time period is how the community responded to things going the way they did and literally cannot be re-implemented. It would be dozens of people working for years and years on something that people only experience once and most do not enjoy. You're asking for the literal impossible and to make people's lives actively worse.
