i wonder if anyone ever made a multi-disc video game that made you *think* you were on the last disc but then.... "please insert disc 1"

@Felthry I think someone must have, for the laugh, but I don't know the field well enough to say.
@Austin_Dern i was just thinking about how multi-disc games make it harder to make it seem like the end of the game and then have a fakeout ending and oh there's more game
and i thought, wait, you could go *back to a previous disc* for the ending

@Felthry Yeah, that's just the sort of fakeout I'd expect someone to have used.
My wife mentioned once playing a horror game that did a fake-out where it pretended to be OS-glitching, and corrupting all your saves, which is a pretty savage level of fourth-wall-breaking.
@Austin_Dern I think one of the metal gear games did that

@Felthry Plausible! I'm afraid I don't have much of a head for video games.
I seem to recall this happening with a PS1 FMV game called Psychic Detective. Three discs, then you reload disc one for the final boss fight.
Wasn't very good though.
(Brutal moose video covering the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hbpy3xBy6hk )
put both the beginning of the game, and a much later part of the game both on disc 1
