@Felthry let me guess, it's something silly like the script forgetting to set the bit that keeps track of the item, or doing it too late or something?

@P1L0T it's actually multiple things at once: they somehow managed to not prevent you from moving while the "you got an elixir" text box is up, and also contrary to every other item in the game, give you the elixir when that text box opens, not when it closes, but remove the item from the room when that text box closes
if you leave the room and return, you can open the text box again without ever closing it
