@heatherhorns i'm confused

some horror movie character?
-F

@Felthry @heatherhorns Yeah, he's the supernatural killer in [most of] the Friday The 13th slasher/horror-film series.

@Austin_Dern @heatherhorns I see

we have no idea what those movies are because we actively avoid horror stuff, it's very bad for our anxiety
-F

@Felthry @heatherhorns Understandable and all reasonable.

For reference, Freddy Krueger is the supernatural killer of the Friday the 13th slasher series.

Michael Myers is the supernatural killer of [most of] the Halloween series.

*Mike* Meyers is a comic actor, most famous for the Saturday Night Live show and the Wayne's World and Austin Powers movies.

Chucky is the supernatural killer of the Child's Play series.

Norman Bates is the non-supernatural killer of [most of] the Psycho series.

@Felthry @heatherhorns There's other horror/slasher series but I think that covers the names most likely to turn up in our age cohort at least.

@Austin_Dern @heatherhorns didn't you just say this other character was the one in the friday the 13th series?
-F

@Felthry @heatherhorns Oh, sheesh. Yes. I'm sorry. My mistake. Freddy Krueger is from the Nightmare On Elm Street series. Jason Voorhees is from the Friday the 13th series.

Freddy and Jason did meet in one crossover movie that I never saw.

@Austin_Dern @heatherhorns why are these things so popular

like i can't comprehend why people would possibly enjoy movies like that
