when Old Ben says the blaster marks are so precise, they must have been from imperial stormtroopers
what the fuck is he talking about? didn't the whole house get shot up? if you're hitting the outside of a mud-brick house, what kind of shot would be more precise than another? maybe if they had shot out exactly and only a door or window or something, or only their human targets…

@lioness aren't imperial stormtroopers famous for being completely incapable of hitting anything they're aiming at though? maybe that's what he means

the bad shots thing is out-of-universe, & it's not so much their accuracy (they're pretty good at shooting rebels in the opening ship invasion sequence) as that named characters have really thick plot armor

there's actually a lore reason for them missing so much also--i forget exactly what but they were given orders not to kill or something along those lines; they were actually trying to avoid hitting anyone while looking like they were trying to hit people
