we keep learning about things, usually foods, that are so common here but are completely unheard-of in other parts of the world
like apparently a key lime pie just isn't a thing in europe

it just feels kind of weird, realizing that something you consider a real universally available and known Thing is in fact unavailable and unknown in most of the world

@Felthry We tend to assume our culture is universal a lot of the time, it's good to be periodically reminded that we aren't the center of the universe and that many cultures are just different
